Pearson’s honored a Minnesotan’s lifelong love for Bit-O-Honey candy and declared her the company’s honorary Halloween spokesperson this year. Ninety two year old Elsie, who has been eating Bit-O-Honey for 85 years, began conversations with Pearson’s CEO Michael Keller shortly after the company acquired the chewy candy last May and her persistence paid off. To celebrate her love for the nostalgic candy brand, Pearson’s treated residents of The Glenn, a Minnetonka retirement community, to a ghoulish Halloween celebration on Oct. 28. Pearson’s surprised Elsie with 30 pounds of Bit-O-Honey and the promise that she’ll never run out.
