There were fireworks in the sky and engines humming on the track. The annual 4th of July Subway Firecracker 250 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida was about to begin.
With 40 cars crowding the line, it was essential for Chris Buescher to find his sweet spot early on in his Bit-O-Honey Ford Mustang.
Chris blasted off to an impressive start and kept his pace, maintaining a steady position near the front of the pack early on. With just 10 laps left, as Chris and the rest of the cars closed on the finish line, chaos ensued–in the form of a nasty 12-car-crash!
Thankfully, Chris’ high-octane training allowed him to navigate this gauntlet with minimal damage. However, some contact was unavoidable, which forced Chris to come down pit road for repairs.
Three cheers for Chris, and the entire Bit-O Honey Racing team!
