JOB TITLE: Accounts Payable Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
REPORTING FUNCTION: CFO
Pearson’s Candy is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to complete full cycle payable function.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions
- Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash
- Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices
- Other related duties as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs
- Must be able to learn a variety of accounting software systems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidential and thorough records
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred
- 3+ years account payable experience required. Manufacturing environment a plus

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

JOB TITLE: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Shipping and Receiving
REPORTING FUNCTION: Warehouse Supervisor
BASIC FUNCTION:
To work together as a team and be responsible to the Warehouse Supervisor. Perform and coordinate activities associated with shipping, receiving, distribution and transportation. Review records pertaining to shipping & receiving. Promoting teamwork, respectful behaviors, collaboration, and communication across the organization.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To pull orders from inventory for daily distribution
- To maintain a clean warehouse and dock
- To repack damaged product
- To maintain forklifts ensure batteries are charged and filled with water. One year forklift experience required
- To receive raw and packaging materials
- To load and weigh scrap for pick up
- To ensure production lines are supplied with appropriate materials
- To ensure Kitchen and Starch departments are supplied daily with raw materials
- To perform duties requiring standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling on a continuous basis throughout the day
- To wear appropriate protective clothing while performing duties.
- To comply with all rules and regulations and to continuously practice safety while performing duties
- Practice and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
- To perform repetitive lifting of up to 65 pounds
- To ensure that your work area is clean during the day and at the end of your scheduled shift
- To develop and maintain positive working relationships as a team with other employees and other departments
- A commitment to quality assurance to ensure we manufacture quality products for our customers
- Other duties as assigned
BACKUP COVERAGE In the absence of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk, the Warehouse Supervisor or the Shipping Lead shall be responsible to make provisions to cover for the absence with a qualified associate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
